The Otho Davis Scholarship Foundation was established in 1999 at a dinner honoring Otho Davis, Head Trainer for the Philadelphia Eagles for 23 years. That night, Otho requested that the proceeds go towards a scholarship for aspiring undergraduate students studying sports medicine or a related field. Since the inaugural dinner, the foundation has raised over $150,000 in net proceeds. Otho's legacy will continue as the foundation officers and board continue to raise funds through contributions, donations, and fundraisers.

Last season marked the 25th anniversary of Buddy Ryan’s arrival in Philadelphia. His tenacious defense, big-play offense and winning spirit meshed perfectly with Philadelphia’s passion for football.
The 13th Annual Otho Davis Scholarship Foundation Awards Dinner celebrated the Buddy Ryan era - an unforgettable time in the franchise’s storied history. Over 300 people were in attendance as the Buddy Ryan era was remembered and Otho Davis was honored by the presentation of a scholarship to Jonathan Herting in Otho's memory.
Along with Buddy and our scholarship recipient Jonathan Herting, other special guests included: Mike Ditka, Dick Vermeil, Harold Carmichael, Seth Joyner, Clyde Simmons, Keith Jackson, Mike Pitts, Terry Hoage, Mike Quick and many other players from the Buddy Ryan Era. Don't miss the 2012 Scholarship Awards Dinner on October 23 honoring Ron Jaworski. |
